About the Artist

Shelly Ann Saunders is a photographer dedicated to capturing social issues and the human condition through compelling visual essays. Her work aims to educate, inform, and provoke a new perspective on various societal challenges.

Shelly worked in her portrait studio for 25 years in Bozeman Montana balancing her career with raising her children, she prioritized their school activities and sports, often turning her lens on her own family to create essays that celebrate the beauty of family and the spirit of youth. 

Shelly has traveled extensively to India, Europe, and nearly all of the United States. Through her work with nonprofits, she has helped communicate the critical health and education needs of young children, blending her artistry with advocacy to create meaningful impact.

By showcasing the human experience in its rawest form, I strive to create empathy, understanding, and advocacy for those facing adversity.
